Think Pink

1) Price and Sheppard
They were brave and had courage to stand up to the bullies and to help the kid out. They didn't care about themselves but instead, supported the kid who was being bullied. They didn't want to think about anything else, they just wanted to accomplish their goal. The boys worked together in order to reach their goal. They also got the other students at school to support them. This is called Team work/Cooperation. The boys were responsible for their actions and were responsible for helping the boy out. They were true leaders.
The Bullies

They lacked Respect, Equity/fairness and kindness. They did not respect the kid for who he is, they just judged him based on his appearance. Also, they treated him differently than the other kids at school. The bullies were being rude to the kid and threatened to beat him up. That is NOT nice. Just because they might not have been treated fairly it doesn't mean that they could do it to someone else. That goes against everything connected to respect.

2)

There are a few places where equity is being shown. The places where equity is being addressed is when Sheppard and Price sold and informed the students of their to wear pink in order for the kid to be treated equally (by the appearance). This is shown as equity because they helped the kid to get his rights back. Just to get the kids rights back, everyone wore pink! The both of them went online to e-mail classmates to get them help them with their anti-bullying cause that they call a "sea of pink." This was the most important place in the article that showed equity.

3)

I think that the students who helped the grade nine student were right in what they did because they helped get someone get his rights back. They were right because they showed that no one wants to be treated differently than others and that everyone has equal rights. The second reason that they were right is because they wanted the boy to be respected because in order to get respect, you got to give it back. The last reason is that the students are right because they showed empathy because it might have happend to them previously. They might have helped the boy out because they want to help everyone have equal rights.
